1. Currency and total price
Website prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). Before you place an order, checkout will show the product price, any applicable delivery charge and the total amount payable. We do not intentionally add undisclosed mandatory fees after you submit the order.
2. Available payment methods
The payment methods currently accepted are the methods displayed at checkout. Availability may depend on your device, the payment provider and other eligibility checks. At least one conventional online payment method should be available when the store is open for orders.
3. Secure checkout
Our ecommerce store is provided through Shopify and payment transactions are handled through the secure checkout and selected payment service providers. Payment-card information should be entered only into the checkout fields provided for payment. Please do not email us your full card number, security code or online-banking password.
4. Payment authorisation and fraud prevention
A payment may be subject to authorisation, authentication and fraud-prevention checks by the payment provider, your bank or us. We may request reasonable information to verify an order where there is a genuine security concern. We will not ask you to disclose passwords or one-time banking security codes outside the legitimate payment authentication process.
5. When payment is taken
Depending on the payment method and checkout configuration, funds may be authorised or charged when you place the order or when the order is accepted. The checkout and payment-provider messages shown to you at the time of purchase will indicate the applicable process.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds are returned using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise or the original method cannot lawfully or technically receive the refund. Please see our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy for eligibility and timing.
7. Suspicious payment requests
Akbas Jewellers will not ask you to complete a website order by sending money to an unrelated personal account or by disclosing remote-access credentials. If a payment request appears unusual, stop and contact us using the email or telephone number published on this website before sending funds.
