Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms apply to purchases made through www.akbasjewellers.shop. Please read them together with our Shipping and Returns policies.

Effective date: 17 August 2026

1. About us

The website www.akbasjewellers.shop is operated under the name Akbas Jewellers. Our registered office address is 129 Station Road, London, England, NW4 4NJ, United Kingdom. Our physical store is at 451 Green Lanes, Harringay Ladder, London N4 1HE, United Kingdom. You can contact us at contact@akbasjewellers.shop or 020 3489 3310.

2. These terms and your statutory rights

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of goods to consumers through our website. They do not exclude or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under applicable UK consumer law. If a provision of these terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the mandatory right applies.

3. Product information

We aim to describe each product accurately, including the material, precious-metal fineness where applicable, gemstone information where stated, ring size or size options, key dimensions or weight where relevant, condition, price and availability. Please read the product page carefully before ordering and contact us if a material point is unclear.

Photographs are intended to represent the product faithfully, but colours and apparent scale can vary between screens. Natural gemstones and hand-finished jewellery may also show minor natural or craftsmanship variations. Nothing in this paragraph permits us to supply goods that are materially different from the description you agreed to purchase.

4. Precious metals and hallmarking

Where we describe an article as gold, silver, platinum or palladium, we will apply applicable UK rules on precious-metal descriptions and hallmarking. Where hallmarking is legally required, the item will bear an appropriate recognised hallmark. Further information is available on our Jewellery & Hallmarking Information page.

5. Ring size and personalised work

Please check the size information on the product page before ordering. If you request engraving, a non-standard alteration, a bespoke design or another change made specifically to your requirements, additional terms may apply. We will tell you the price, expected timing and any effect on statutory cancellation rights before you commit to the personalised work.

6. Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). The product price and any applicable delivery charge will be displayed before you place the order. Taxes will be included or disclosed as required by law. We do not impose hidden mandatory charges after checkout.

If we discover an obvious pricing or product-information error before accepting your order, we may contact you for instructions or cancel the affected order and refund any amount already paid. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.

7. Placing an order and contract formation

The checkout process lets you review the product, quantity, delivery information and total price before submitting the order. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order; it does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. A binding sales contract is formed when we expressly confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods, depending on the wording of the confirmation we send you.

We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance where, for example, the product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, we cannot verify information reasonably required to prevent fraud, or there is an obvious error. If we cancel after taking payment, we will refund the amount due.

8. Payment

The payment methods currently available are displayed at checkout. Payment must be authorised before we dispatch the goods unless we expressly agree another arrangement. Payment processing may be provided by Shopify and/or third-party payment service providers. Please see our Payment & Security and Privacy pages for more information.

9. Delivery

We offer free Standard Shipping on all orders, with no minimum purchase required. Orders are normally processed within 2–3 business days before dispatch. Once an order has been shipped, Standard Shipping typically takes a further 3–5 business days, depending on the delivery location. Further delivery information is set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Please provide an accurate delivery address and review any order-specific information shown before ordering.

10. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel an eligible online purchase, return goods and receive a refund are set out in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy. That policy includes the normal 14-day distance-selling cancellation period, return timing, return-cost information, refund method and the treatment of bespoke/personalised goods.

11. Faulty or misdescribed goods

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where a purpose has been made known and as described, subject to applicable law. If there is a problem with your item, contact us. Nothing in these terms limits statutory remedies for faulty or misdescribed goods.

12. Ownership and risk

Ownership of the goods passes to you when we have received payment in full, unless the law or our confirmation provides otherwise. For consumer deliveries, risk of accidental loss or damage passes in accordance with applicable law, generally when you or a person identified by you takes physical possession of the goods.

13. Website availability and acceptable use

We may update, suspend or change parts of the website for maintenance, security, legal or business reasons. You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or use website content in a way that infringes our rights or the rights of others.

14. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the text, branding, layout, photographs and other content on this website are owned by or licensed to Akbas Jewellers and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal shopping and information. Commercial copying or reuse requires permission from the relevant rights holder.

15. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law. We are not responsible for business losses arising from a consumer purchase. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

16. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay caused solely by events outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the delay and keep you informed where appropriate. If the delay materially affects your order, your legal rights may allow you to end the contract.

17. Personal data

We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The terms applying to your purchase are the terms made available to you when you place the order, subject to any change required by law or expressly agreed with you.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law applicable to you and may have rights to bring proceedings in your local courts. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue directly.
